Our client is well established within the Building Services sector and are a leader in multi-disciplinary building services across London. Initially they started as a mechanical services contractor, but now work across multiple sectors including: Commercial Office fit out / refurbishment, museums, healthcare & higher education.
To lead the management of construction projects from inception to completion and handover, ensuring projects are completed according to schedule and budget. The Project Manager's responsibilities include monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, scheduling meetings and maintaining project documents and reports.
Key Duties:
Understanding Design & Drawings and reading of specifications to ensure complete compliance with the client’s requirements
Preparing and implementing appropriate project documentation including pre-construction information, detailed design packages, schedules of work, design management schedules, construction & commissioning programmes, technical submittals, etc.
Responsible for ensuring the clients requirements are being met and provide an efficient, effective and professional service at all times to clients
Liaison with CAD technicians and management of site supervisors and sub-contractors as required on each project
Preparation and issue of purchase orders, ensuring best value procurement
In association with the Financial Team (QS & Accounts) review and assist with the following;
Preparation and issue of sub-contractor orders
Preparation and submission of valuations to suit project requirements
Ensure all project applications for payment are compiled and issued correctly in accordance with Company procedures
Ensure all contract variations are accounted for correctly and claimed for within the monthly application in line with Company procedures
Control of cost and value on projects
Progress reporting and project & programme implementation from first start on site through to practical completion
Attend project meetings
Snag and quality control of all parts of installation
Ensure Company policies and procedures are adhered to with responsibility for all matters relating to Health and Safety
Compilation of O&M Manuals including Record Drawings
Dealing with defects and other issues that may arise after completion of a project
