Our client has been established for nearly 70 years and their core provision has always been refurbishment and fit out services. Typical projects vary from £50k - £20 million within commercial office, healthcare, education and leisure sectors. The majority of projects are carried out in London and the South East area.

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a project currently under PCSA, valued at £5m. It’s a complex project in the public realm. Following the completion of the PCSA the Assistant QS will be running the project with support from the Commercial Manager.

Duties include:

• Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engagement with supply chain

• Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts Managers and Site Agents regarding price, proven history, availability.

• Take site level commercial responsibility for the project

• Preparation of application for payment

• Collation of pricing and variations as and when required

• Produce bill of quantity for payment purposes

• Produce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposes

• Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts e.g. interim/final applications for payment/final accounts/payments for late monies etc. liaising where necessary with the relevant people e.g. engineers, clients etc.

• Assist Commercial Manager to produce relevant monthly reports e.g. cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts etc. ensuring information is complete and accurate
