Our Client are a fit out specialist working in a variety of sectors ranging from hotels and high quality commercial interiors, retail and individual special projects to prestigious permanent exhibitions for museums and visitor centre throughout the world.
Following their ongoing success with securing luxury hotel and prime residential fitout projects, they now have a vacancy for a project based Senior Quantity Surveyor working primarily within central London, with visits to the head office in SW London.
The projects will generally be traditional JCT Contracts with CDP elements, however, some will be full Design and Build. Project values range from £10m - £50m and initially you will be based on a £25m prime residential fitout in Mayfair.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be expected to lead, coordinate and support the wider team on all commercial aspects which will include procurement strategies, payment management, managing client expectations, producing cost value reconciliations to aid in cash flow and forecasting, change control to maximize value and minimize risk, the management of subcontractor’s accounts, dispute management (avoidance/resolution). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring
project profitability is attained and for enhancing the value of the project, whilst still achieving the highest of standards and quality.
Experience / Qualifications:
They are looking for a robust and confident individual who has strong experience within a Main Contractor Quantity Surveying arena, who has ideally been the project lead on a number of projects of a similar size and nature. You will have worked under a variety of forms of Contract and will be able to demonstrate a proven record of delivering projects with commercial success. The Senior Quantity Surveyor is expected to manage the Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
You will have a Higher Education based Industry recognised qualification, possibly an HNC/HND or a Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. The Company actively encourages progression to membership of a relevant professional association, i.e., RICS.
