As a Construction Manager with us, you'll have a vital role to play in turning our visions and ideas into reality – ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, and that quality is intrinsic at every stage.
What will you be doing?
You'll be responsible for the daily management of the site, focusing on delivering a quality service and product. You'll be working alongside a very professional team, applying ISG systems and procedures, and firmly embedding our culture. In particular, this role involves:
Working closely with the Senior Construction Manager and Technical Services Manager on the delivery side of things, and with the Health & Safety Manager in planning the works
Managing any health and safety issues, identifying any problems and offering solutions
Suggesting trade contractors, systems and manufacturers for appraisal by the team
Reviewing and contributing to design and shop drawings, and the project programme
Offering high level strategic thinking on the wider project
Producing succinct project reports, logistic plans and method statements, and implementing a zero defects and absolute completion initiative What do you need to bring?
A recognised qualification in a building-related subject or substantial experience in a trade capacity and ideally, a recognised Health and Safety accreditation
The ability to communicate with and delegate to other members of the team – you'll be happy to work with our design teams and trade contractors at site and project meetings
A willingness to mentor other members of the construction management team.
The ability to be a key liaison point with the client and design team before construction begins
Excellent teamworking and relationship building skills – you'll act as the key coordinator with the design team and you could be introduced as a specialist advisor to our clients
