Our client

We are working with a leading Fitout and Refurbishment contractor who are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to assist with the commercial oversight of bespoke refurbishments and fitouts in Central London. Their main area of expertise is the commercial office refurbishment and market though they undertake works within retail and hospitality.

They have a reputation for excellent customer service and an exceptional finish for all their clients, which include the likes of:

  • Oxford Properties
  • UCL

The role

They are looking for a Project Surveyor to support an existing Commercial Manager on any of the listed projects below:

  • £5m commercial fit-out in Oxford Street over 5 floors to a high-end CAT B finish for a financial research client.
  • £7m CAT B fit-out for a commercial workspace provider based in Templar House in Holborn.
  • £36m CAT B cut and carve in Southwark over 5 floors, encompassing heavy structural elements such as the installation of a new atrium and staircase. 

The successful candidate will ideally come from a main contractor background with an understanding of high-quality Fit-Out or structural refurbishments within the commercial sector

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for an opportunity to take a step up, or a Project QS seeking to advance their career and earning potentials. Successful candidates will be  joining a well-respected company who have an excellent reputation for staff development and retention within the business.

Duties include:

  • Recommending and critiquing sub-contractors and managing relationships
  • Carrying out CVRs
  • Reconcile cost/value reports and profit forecasts
  • Work with the Contract Manager with pre-start planning and programming
  • Sub-contract procurement and commercial management
  • Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts
  • Manage the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting
  • Measure progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts and retention release and monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner in accordance with the contracts
  • Process subcontractor requests for payment
  • Completing a monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for the designated project.

They are offering a salary of up to £80,000 (Depending on Experience).
