A vibrant and entrepreneurial SME who have approached Granite as Agent on a recommendation from one of the businesses long term clients.
They specialise in bespoke high-end Workplace solutions with long term relationships and will turn over £5 million this year. The balance sheet is bullet proof and they are cash rich.. One of those relationships has just signed heads of terms on a quite exceptional space in Guildford. Their client has signed a long term lease and negotiated £6million of tenant requirements - including infrastructure upgrades and some structural alterations. Then there’s a £6million CAT B off the back of it.
They are looking for a lead Project Manager to be based on this exciting building originally designed by award winning Architect Sir Norman Foster, whose work includes The Gherkin and The Tulip. This will be one of their flagship projects at a total value of £12m and you will be fully responsible for all operational aspects of the project with an operational team reporting to you. The refurb is traditionally predesigned BUT the Cat B is likely to harness their design development skills and the appropriate contract.
Their HQ is in Kent.
Upgrades to the existing building include;
- Structural changes
- Glazing Packages
- New gym/showers/bike racks/toilets etc
The three main stages to the project will be:
- Structural alterations for the current landlord
- Services upgrade for M&E aspects of the project
- Full CAT B fit out for new tenant
This will be an 18-24 month contract, to start August to September or a PAYE introduction should the right candidate want long term security and be able to show long term commitment.
