With a history in delivering builders work and groundwork packages to the likes of Galliford Try, BW Workplace experts and other London leaders, our client made the step 6 years ago of evolving a principle contracting offering. That principle contracting offering is now delivering 3 projects on site. A new apartment block, a commercial cat A refurb in London Bridge and a high end residential fit out in Chelsea. Its impressive stuff but aided through their existing contracts manager who hails from strong Wates roots.
The owner, an entrepreneurial ex consultant shows no signs of letting up in the current market, rather viewing Covid challenges as an opportunity for his agile SME to price work competitively and deliver realistic programmes for clients who don’t wish to engage with major contractors or businesses with a shaky balance sheet. An ex QS, he is heavily involved in the pricing and commercial management of new opportunities and what he seeks is an operational partner to help grow the business over the next 5 years to double what it currently turns over whilst maintaining bottom line percentages.
The ideal candidate therefore may hail from a commercial refurbishment, high end residential or general building background… may be an ex tradesman, surveyor, engineer or qualified constructor, But MUST be able to bring opportunities with them and want to play a number 2 role in developing this business. Realistically the business will not get bonded on projects larger than £10 million and any opportunity that is winnable is likely to use their in house ‘technical builders work’ delivery as a key USP.
SALARY: £125,000k + travel + Bonus (up to 25% of basic or alternative TBC)
START: January 2021
