Even in the current market conditions, they are continuing to look at ways in which they can offer a unique service to their clients and stand out.Reviewing and evaluating proposed contract amendments and assessing potential risk once a tender has been received.

Reviewing contract amendments with a “clever thinking” objective as part of the tender review / tender return process.

During the tender period, enhance our contractual position and awareness of the proposed contract amendments whilst aiming to remain favourable.

“De-risking” contracts in a smart and palatable fashion with the Employer once a project has been secured.

Work alongside external legal team to finalise an agreed set of contract amendments.

Understand and advise the business on potential risks in tenders, secured projects and other matters at cyclical periods.

Drafting of contractual notices as and when required.

Providing advice on the avoidance of disputes as and when required.

Providing contractual and commercial advice to project teams as and when required.

Delivering contract training.

Reviewing collateral warranties, Deeds of Novation and the like.

Reviewing insurance particulars and requirements.

Reviewing of and involvement with commercial claims, extension of times, loss and expense and the like from the supply chain and to the employer.
The Ideal Candidate will:

Have trained at a blue-chip construction main contractor
-
Degree Educated in Commercial Management

Bonus, if you have completed extra courses in contract law, tender adjudication, and arbitration

Be meticulous and thorough in your approach

Have experience in contractual matters

Have experience and involvement in managing commercial claims, extension of times, loss and expense and the like from the supply chain and to the employer.
