The Office Group (TOG), Chancery Lane - £33m structural refurbishment including the addition of two new floors and the removal of the existing roof structure, basement fit-out to install a new gym and CAT B fit-out across 4 floors.
Barclay House, Great Ormond St – Office refurb and fit-out, removal and infilling of two glass roof lights to form new roof space for a plant gantry where AC plants were relocated. Scope of works included the strip out and formation of office suites, kitchens, meeting rooms, full refurb of WCs and the repair of a 1920s mosaic tiled floor.
80 and 100 Victoria St - £5m fit-out over 30 weeks consisting of the fit-out of two receptions at 80 and 100 Victoria St in fully occupied buildings. Specialist joinery was installed alongside new floor tiling and energy efficient lighting.
They now seek an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support an existing Commercial Manager and deliver two flagship Design and Build refurbishment projects in the Surrey/Kent border. These projects are scheduled to finish in early 2023. Upon the completion of these projects, you will be re-assigned to projects based in Central London.
Prospective candidates will ideally come from a main contractor background and be able to demonstrate an understanding of high-quality Fit-Out and structural refurbishment projects within the commercial sector. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for an opportunity to join a well-respected London-based SME who have a stellar reputation for staff development and retention within the business.

Working Alongside a Project Surveyor on site, helping with commercial functions.
The works comprise the following:
Cat A office refurbishment including all associated toilet cores and circulation areas. This will also involve the complete renewal of all mechanical and electrical engineering services including primary plant and equipment.
Cat B office refurbishment including provision of cellular offices, meeting rooms catering facilities and the like including all associated additional mechanical and electrical engineering services adaptations.
Complete removal and renewal of external façade finishes and associated fabric / frame repairs.
Infilling upper floor open terrace area to extend and provide additional office accommodation at first floor level.
Replacement roof coverings
Extending and enlarging ground floor office accommodation within former lower ground floor warehouse / storage area.
New main core construction and entrances.
Converting the former lower ground floor warehouse / storage area into additional car parking.
Extensive external works, landscaping and services
Recommending and critiquing sub-contractors and managing relationships
Carrying out CVRs
Reconcile cost/value reports and profit forecasts
Work with the Contract Manager with pre-start planning and programming
Sub-contract procurement and commercial management
Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts
Manage the day-to-day cost control, monitoring and reporting
Measure progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts and retention release and monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner in accordance with the contracts
