Contracts Manager

Freelance

Up to £400 per day

Hertfordshire

This role has come about as our client would like to start building their leaders of the future, they are looking for an enthusiastic individual of whom is a master of their own journey, you will be supported but not carried.

The ideal candidate will be able to split their time between Head Office and Sites depending on workload and schedule for that week.

You will be responsible for the delivery of fast-track commercial fit-outs and refurbishments.

This role is ideal for an established Project Manager looking for the next step up onto a progression path that relies on yourself to drive and or an existing Contracts Manager.

Responsibilities:

• To work closely with the project managers, technical services manager and quantity surveyor and liaise with sub-contractor and professional teams.

• To continuously review and ensure that all work on site is being performed in accordance with H&S, CDM, quality and environmental procedures.

• To attend meetings, produce minutes as well as precise and concise weekly project reports, and making sure record keeping is thorough, regular and accurate

• To review drawings and drive the the project programmes.

• To assist with production of logistic plans and method statements

• To ensure adequate resources to achieve project programmes and ensure all site operatives, staff and visitors are properly inducted.

• Client liaison, winning work and developing relationships.

• Maximising the overall strength of the business by developing project teams and building relationships to strengthen market position.

Background requirements:

• Experience in all forms of contract

• Evidence of strong interpersonal and people management skills are essential

• Crisis management abilities

• Ability to understand the wider picture whilst devoting attention to detail

• Proactive, diligent, able, and willing to think ahead

• Attitude: characterised by enthusiasm, commitment to personal and divisional success

• Values: the person must understand the values of Core and respond positively

• Commercial awareness: understanding and ability to make profit whilst retaining relationships and company values.

• Quality driven; demonstrates attitude and experience of delivery projects based on quality, attention to detail and client satisfaction.

• Financial experience with negotiation skills at senior level
