I have used Granite over the past 5 years and they have consistently delivered for us. Some of our key talent growing through as well as our Operational Leaders have been introduced by Granite and I would happily recommend them.
Frank Nefs ISG plc
Granite Search had worked sporadically with us for years and a proactive approach from their Executive arm led to a meeting to discuss a new Board Appointment. Following an initial consultation we established a detailed specification and programme opting for their exclusive 2 stage retained Search product. Then we added their I3 profiling product which enabled us to build a psychometric profile for our ideal candidate. Within 16 weeks we had identified and secured our man and I can with confidence and enthusiasm endorse Granite Executives efforts.

Granite had been on our radar for years due to their reputaton so when we were seeking a new Construction Director we approached the business for help. The Executive division moved deftly to consult with us and establish a specification and programme which we agreed to and signed off, adopting their exclusive 2 stage Search product. We found the process smooth and effective with both specification and programme delivered efficiently. We are happy with the result and would recommend Granite Executive for Leadership Appointments.

Stew & Cocoa Episode 7 with The Movement Centre & The Inspirational Leader Award
Welcome to Ep.7 of the Stew & Cocoa podcast! After a short break, we’re back with a new direction centred around the launch of our new award, the Inspirational Business Leader Award. We’ll be interviewing 10 business leaders in the construction industry, hearing their nominations for the beacons in our industry who have shown inspiration and innovation during the pandemic and rewarding the winner with £1,000 for their chosen charity, plus we’ll donate £2,500 to our partner charity, The Movement Centre (TMC). In this podcast, Toni Camisotti speaks to two key figures at TMC - Helen Knight and Jack Mantle - about the launch of our award, who TMC are and what makes them different, how they’ve dealt with the challenges of Covid-19 and the innovative things they have done as a charity, interfacing with the NHS (which has been a blessing and curse) and how that can be improved, and what the award means to TMC. The Movement Centre is a charity that provides a specialist therapy called Targeted Training, a life changing therapy that develops functional skills required for head control and sitting, and where possible standing and walking in children with cerebral palsy and other problems of movement control. Granite Search presents ‘Inspirational Business Leader’ Award The Award: 2020 has so far been a challenging year and when the country went into lockdown on 23rd March, our industry resembled a Sergio Leone movie, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly… Some have not covered themselves in glory whilst others in our industry have shone like a beacon and separated the great leaders from the lesser, over the past 16 weeks, the Owner of Granite Search, Toni Camisotti has been hosting our Stew & Cocoa podcast which has run in tandem with our new suite of products and services highlighting all of the above. We’ve seen how major UK financials have responded positively, how the market has reacted to government policy and shone a spotlight on the ugly world of insolvency practice. We’ve had mixed reviews as well, but the reoccurring theme was the request to hear more about the good stuff that’s genuinely making a difference… To that end, to support our partnered Charity, TMC we are going to be presenting a Leadership Award for inspiration and innovation over this year. And this will be the theme of our podcasts moving forwards. 10 interviews between now and Christmas with industry figures who will be invited to nominate their ‘Inspirational Leader’ and why. The Podcast with the most likes and shares for their nomination will win a £1000 donation to a charity of their choice as well as a £2500 donation presented to TMC. Submissions: We will be interviewing 10 Executives who will nominate their chosen Leader, (You can propose yourself, individuals within your businesses, clients or consultants or public sector leaders). The criteria are those who since lock down have provided innovation, inspiration or genuine ultruism in policy decisions effecting any of their stakeholders. To nominate someone please submit to email@example.com and make sure you watch their podcast on either YouTube or Spotify ‘Stew & Cocoa’. Competition: The winner is the podcast with the most likes and comments and will be announced Friday December 18th 2020 .
Toni Camisotti talks with Peter Bell, CEO of Expedite Group - Stew & Cocoa Podcast
“So the allegation or the suggestion is that, actually, the directors of *censored* were trading insolvent.” A really interesting conversation between Peter Bell and Toni Camisotti on Ep.6 of the Stew & Cocoa podcast. Here they discuss where the Administrator’s duty of care lies and how it looks like a recently fallen serviced office provider may have used deposits for operational purposes and in turn, at some point, could have been trading insolvently.

Stew & Cocoa Episode 5 with SHB Real Estate
Leaders who can be agile, creative and composed in their decision-making are the ones who have the greatest opportunity to grow once the economy starts to recover. There was a bit of luck involved in SHB Real Estate being already set-up up for remote working when the crisis hit, allowing them to get back to full-functionality within 2 days of being out of the office. But not so in their decision to hold-off furloughing staff and investing in business development with added verve, as Simon Blair explains in the clip below during our chat on Ep.5 of the Stew & Cocoa podcast. Write something here...
“I have never accepted what many people have kindly said, namely that I have inspired the nation. It was the nation and the race dwelling all around the globe that had the lion heart. I had the luck to be called upon to give the roar.” Winston Churchill Strive Together, Share Success hashtag#granitesearch hashtag#stewandcocoa hashtag#veday hashtag#success hashtag#winstonchurchill hashtag#strivetogether hashtag#sharesuccess
Stew & Cocoa Podcast - Episode 4
It's Episode 4 of Stew & Cocoa where Andrew Tuck - Head of Workplace for Nationwide Building Society - provides an insight into how the mutual is functioning in its major economic role whilst ensuring its key workers are kept safe. He also points towards some concerning, but unavoidable consolidation for the institution, whilst reassuring all members and stakeholders with a set of solid promises. These include paying all supply chain invoices in 10 days and supporting partners through early engagement, as well as strong and open long term planning to ensure the NEW NEW world is a prosperous and secure place.
Granite Search Provides Stew & Cocoa
The team here at Granite Search would like to reassure you during this time of uncertainty, that we are thinking of all of our candidates and clients. ‘Strive Together, Keep Calm & Carry On’ is our mission and our motto to help keep our industry moving, but it is a bit of a mouthful… ‘Stew & Cocoa’ seemed a fitting and more palatable abbreviation with welcome, nourishing, reassuring and warming overtures. Our goal with this NEW suite of products is two fold: To keep our partnered clients supplied with business-critical staff whilst helping the cream of those out of work back to earning... To prune the average to poor performers (Hired out of necessity during the economic growth of the last 10 years) and UPSKILL with the best in the market. Who knew that keep calm and carry on’ would still be so relevant and fitting in 2020? Now is THE TIME time to IMPROVE and UPSKILL your workforce or / and deliver a business critical need! We have a short video which explains ‘Stew & Cocoa’ In addition to that, we are working closely with John Howie Associates who are able to provide you with the appropriate support in reaching the best position possible for your Business and Construction Sites. They cover all aspects of construction consultancy from Health & Safety, logistics, Delay Analysis, Formulation of Claims, etc. through to support in dispute resolution. They have a close working relationship with a notable Construction Solicitor and are therefore also able to assist with legal agreements. For details on this please listen to our podcast here. Stew & Cocoa Podcast - Episode 3
Ep.3 of the Stew & Cocoa podcast with John Howie BSc, CEng, FICE, FEANE of John Howie & Associates is out now! John provides a useful insight into the liabilities of all supply chain members who have elected to place sites on stop. We discuss some of the questionable decisions that have been made, albeit with good initial intentions; the mindset of contractors, subcontractors and the supply chain; and the advice that John's been giving to individuals and companies. Providing everything from programming services, to help re-sequencing sites, to ensuring safe social distancing, to legal advice on contractual risk mitigation from his in-house solicitors, £1000 spent now could save hundreds of thousands of pounds in costs in the months to come. Let us know if John or one of the team can help you by contacting us for an initial no fee consultation: https://lnkd.in/gWWxeQC.
Stew & Cocoa Podcast - Episode 2
Episode 2 of the Stew & Cocoa Podcast is out now! Joe gives his views on the investment outlook for funds he’s involved with, a worrying insight into the cash strains of supply chains and the peril of charities in the current climate, with a final reflection on the planet and big society. A great conversation, plug in and enjoy! Stream/download/watch: https://lnkd.in/gTRwuyB

The Day we DID for The Movement Centre
Save the Date: Friday 13th September 2019 – The Day Granite DID (Drop in & Donate) for The Movement Centre Now you will be wondering what we need your help with, our objective is to raise £10,000 for The Movement Centre in 2019 to support them in funding their new building facilities. This is the 8th year of our sponsorship of The Movement Centre and this year we would like to do something bigger and better… What is The Movement Centre? The Movement Centre is a British Charity performing cutting edge work with children with movement disorders in an effort to improve the quality of life for both themselves and their families. They provide ‘targeted training’, an early intervention procedure using bio mechanics (bespoke standing frames) in combination with specialist physiotherapy (more of which can be viewed on their website) In the most successful cases getting kids up on their feet and mobile who otherwise would have suffered years of complications from not being able to weight bare provides compelling evidence as to why they themselves need our support. Sadly, Government funding for them and similar organisations has dwindled and they need individuals like us to help them fill the gap. How Can We Help Together? On Friday 13th, we will be visiting our clients and candidates to Drop In & Donate to a great cause where your donations and our contributions really does make a difference. We will be in touch with all our clients to ask for contributions in both cash terms as well as gifts that we can auction or raffle in December and hope you will be happy to help us! Granite will be hosting a charity fundraiser in December (date tbc) with an auction and raffle for donations which we receive next Friday. Most recently we are pleased to say that Sale Group, a leading Building Services Contractor has contributed £2000 to the cause but this is only 20% of our annual target! So that’s £8,000 left to make before 2020! Can you help us reach £10,000? Would you be happy for us to visit your offices next Friday, pick up a cheque, gift or commitment to a donation for the movement Centre? If you would like more details on the great work they do please feel free to visit their website - https://www.the-movement-centre.co.uk/ Please let us know as soon as possible as we will be coordinating our teams to collect all donations! We look forward to hearing from you, and remember EVERY LITTLE DOES HELP! We strive to improve the working lives of our clients and candidates and are committed to sharing that success with those who are less fortunate.
