Stew & Cocoa S2 Episode 1 with The Movement Centre & The Inspirational Leader Award

In this podcast, Toni Camisotti speaks to two key figures at TMC - Helen Knight and Jack Mantle - about the launch of our award, who TMC are and what makes them different, how they’ve dealt with the challenges of Covid-19 and the innovative things they have done as a charity, interfacing with the NHS (which has been a blessing and curse) and how that can be improved, and what the award means to TMC. The Movement Centre is a charity that provides a specialist therapy called Targeted Training, a life changing therapy that develops functional skills required for head control and sitting, and where possible standing and walking in children with cerebral palsy and other problems of movement control. Granite Search presents ‘Inspirational Business Leader’ Award The Award: 2020 has so far been a challenging year and when the country went into lockdown on 23rd March, our industry resembled a Sergio Leone movie, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly… Some have not covered themselves in glory whilst others in our industry have shone like a beacon and separated the great leaders from the lesser, over the past 16 weeks, the Owner of Granite Search, Toni Camisotti has been hosting our Stew & Cocoa podcast which has run in tandem with our new suite of products and services highlighting all of the above. We’ve seen how major UK financials have responded positively, how the market has reacted to government policy and shone a spotlight on the ugly world of insolvency practice. We’ve had mixed reviews as well, but the reoccurring theme was the request to hear more about the good stuff that’s genuinely making a difference… To that end, to support our partnered Charity, TMC we are going to be presenting a Leadership Award for inspiration and innovation over this year. And this will be the theme of our podcasts moving forwards. 10 interviews between now and Christmas with industry figures who will be invited to nominate their ‘Inspirational Leader’ and why. The Podcast with the most likes and shares for their nomination will win a £1000 donation to a charity of their choice as well as a £2500 donation presented to TMC. Submissions: We will be interviewing 10 Executives who will nominate their chosen Leader, (You can propose yourself, individuals within your businesses, clients or consultants or public sector leaders). The criteria are those who since lock down have provided innovation, inspiration or genuine ultruism in policy decisions effecting any of their stakeholders. To nominate someone please submit to info@granitesearch.co.uk and make sure you watch their podcast on either YouTube or Spotify ‘Stew & Cocoa’. Competition: The winner is the podcast with the most likes and comments and will be announced Friday December 18th 2020 . Exclusive Candidate: Operations Director
Operations Director Seeking Opportunity! Introducing our candidate, an experienced Operations Director who is seeking a new opportunity following the liquidation of his current business. Its worth noting that this liquidation was a ‘members voluntary liquidation’, honouring all creditors as well as ensuring clients delivery teams and supply chains were successfully either novated or CMed. It has been a clean break with all client, consultant and supply chain relationships as well as reputations safeguarded and he is now widely respected as one of London’s leading high end contractors For further details on this candidate please contact Natalie Doe - natalie.doe@granitesearch.co.uk

Stew & Cocoa Episode 5 with SHB Real Estate
Leaders who can be agile, creative and composed in their decision-making are the ones who have the greatest opportunity to grow once the economy starts to recover. There was a bit of luck involved in SHB Real Estate being already set-up up for remote working when the crisis hit, allowing them to get back to full-functionality within 2 days of being out of the office. But not so in their decision to hold-off furloughing staff and investing in business development with added verve, as Simon Blair explains in the clip below during our chat on Ep.5 of the Stew & Cocoa podcast. Write something here...

Our goal with this NEW suite of products is two fold: To keep our partnered clients supplied with business-critical staff whilst helping the cream of those out of work back to earning... The Day we DID for The Movement Centre
Save the Date: Friday 13th September 2019 – The Day Granite DID (Drop in & Donate) for The Movement Centre Now you will be wondering what we need your help with, our objective is to raise £10,000 for The Movement Centre in 2019 to support them in funding their new building facilities. This is the 8th year of our sponsorship of The Movement Centre and this year we would like to do something bigger and better… What is The Movement Centre? The Movement Centre is a British Charity performing cutting edge work with children with movement disorders in an effort to improve the quality of life for both themselves and their families. They provide ‘targeted training’, an early intervention procedure using bio mechanics (bespoke standing frames) in combination with specialist physiotherapy (more of which can be viewed on their website) In the most successful cases getting kids up on their feet and mobile who otherwise would have suffered years of complications from not being able to weight bare provides compelling evidence as to why they themselves need our support. Sadly, Government funding for them and similar organisations has dwindled and they need individuals like us to help them fill the gap. How Can We Help Together? On Friday 13th, we will be visiting our clients and candidates to Drop In & Donate to a great cause where your donations and our contributions really does make a difference. We will be in touch with all our clients to ask for contributions in both cash terms as well as gifts that we can auction or raffle in December and hope you will be happy to help us! Granite will be hosting a charity fundraiser in December (date tbc) with an auction and raffle for donations which we receive next Friday. Most recently we are pleased to say that Sale Group, a leading Building Services Contractor has contributed £2000 to the cause but this is only 20% of our annual target! So that’s £8,000 left to make before 2020! Can you help us reach £10,000? Would you be happy for us to visit your offices next Friday, pick up a cheque, gift or commitment to a donation for the movement Centre? If you would like more details on the great work they do please feel free to visit their website - https://www.the-movement-centre.co.uk/ Please let us know as soon as possible as we will be coordinating our teams to collect all donations! We look forward to hearing from you, and remember EVERY LITTLE DOES HELP! We strive to improve the working lives of our clients and candidates and are committed to sharing that success with those who are less fortunate.
