Granite Sponsor Charity Walk
September 2014

Sending Granite a great big thank you for your generous sponsorship. We did the Thames path challenge on Saturday to support Reverse Rett, for my friend Nik's daughter Ella. It ended up being 29km (not 25 - cheeky map people!) we had a great day, not too many blisters or aches and a very welcome glass of fizz and BBQ at the finish!

Many thanks again, Alice Carroll

Granite support Rawhide Cycling Event with JCA Engineering
August 2014
On Friday 15th August, Ian Jackson, Dean Cocklin, Tim Edwins, Gareth Smith, Tom Harris and Steve Hill from JCA took part in Ark Data Centre's charity bike ride. The JCA team completed the 92 miles between Ark's Cody Park and Hartham Park Campuses, tackling many challenging gradients on route to help support the work at Oxford Radcliffe Hospital.

One of the aims of 'exercise raw hide' was to raise funds for the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and The Neuro ITU Fund at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, and through sponsorship £5,699.99 has been raised so far! Granite were proud to support this great cause.

Granite undertake Broadgate Tower Abseil with Fourfront Group
June 2014

On Saturday the 7th June 2014 a brave team from Granite joined forces with Fourfront Group and others to abseil down Broadgate Tower. This was not just to conquer a fear of heights (for one member of the team) but for a great cause to help raise money for Shooting Stars Chase. The day was a success and Granite's team were so proud to have been part of it. The sun even came out after a rainy and blustery start.

Granite supports the 50th Anniversary of LCCCP
March 2014
The Granite team enjoyed sharing the evening with everyone from The London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy. Granite are proud to have been part of an evening that raised £50,048 which will enable the centre to continue to teach babies and young children how to develop and apply physical skills in everyday situations so they can be as independent as possible now and in the future. Granite feel honoured to be a part of the wonderful work they do.

Granite attend the 40th Birthday Celebrations for Chickenshed
February 2014
Granite were happy to help support the major production of An Awfully Big Performance to help mark the 40th Birthday of Chickenshed by attending the celebrations and taking part in their auction. Chickenshed use theatre to provide a sense of purpose and a creative outlet for tens of thousands of young people. Giving them an opportunity to express themselves and interact with and learn from their peers in ways they did not think possible. A unique charity we are proud to support.
